Root canal
A root canal is done when decay or an injury has reached the tooth's nerve and the tooth can no longer be saved with a regular filling. Instead of pulling it, we remove the infected tissue inside, clean and seal the canals, and that way you keep your own tooth. It's how we get rid of the pain and stop the infection before it spreads, without losing the tooth. We do it under anesthesia and at a calm pace, explaining every step so it's as comfortable as possible.

Does a root canal hurt?
With good anesthesia, no. The pain people associate with root canals is usually from the problem beforehand (the infection or the inflamed nerve), not the procedure itself. We take our time so you're comfortable throughout.
How many sessions does it take?
Most cases are done in 2 sessions. More complex cases or those with an active infection may need one or two more.
What happens after a root canal?
The tooth no longer has a nerve, so it won't hurt anymore. It's essential to get the recommended restoration once treatment is finished to make sure the root canal holds up in the long term.
Do you do rotary (machine-assisted) root canals?
Yes, we do both manual and rotary root canals, depending on the case.
Are X-rays included in the treatment?
